Marketing Manager — Construction Services — New Haven, CT

The Marketing Manager runs the marketing program for a construction materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical firm that is growing by opening new markets. You own the website and its search performance, the statement-of-qualifications and proposal library, the content calendar, and the campaigns that generate conversations for the business development team. It is a hands-on seat in a company that measures marketing by the proposals it produces, not the impressions.

This is a project-site position supporting programs in and around New Haven, Connecticut, staffed through the New York, NY regional hub on a project basis with travel as assigned.

Work out of New Haven and you'll see glacial till excavations, urban fill redevelopment, and tight Northeast schedules, where careful work gets noticed and paid for.

What you'll do

  • Own the company website and search program: content, technical SEO, local listings, and the analytics that show what is working
  • Build and maintain the qualifications package, project sheets, resumes, and proposal templates used on every pursuit
  • Produce the content calendar — technical articles, project stories, and case material — with the engineers who have the knowledge
  • Run campaigns (email, LinkedIn, trade events, direct outreach lists) for the markets the company is opening, and report results monthly
  • Keep brand, messaging, and claims accurate and consistent across every public channel

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 2 in the AEC, construction, engineering, or industrial services sector
  • Hands-on with a modern website stack, search analytics, and a CRM; writes clean, specific copy
  • Has built proposals or qualifications packages for professional services pursuits
  • Organized enough to run a calendar and curious enough to learn what a compaction test is

What a week in this job looks like

Monday is the numbers: search queries and rankings, website conversions, the campaign that went out last week, and what the business development team needs this week. From there it is production — a project sheet for a job that just finished, a technical article drafted with the laboratory manager, the qualifications package updated for a new market, an outreach list built for the engineers to call.

The work is specific and measurable. A good month is one where the proposals went out on time, the website brought in requests from the markets you targeted, and nothing published said something the company cannot back up.

Compensation

Salary runs $75,000 to $100,000 depending on experience and market, with an annual bonus tied to the lead and proposal targets agreed at the start of the year.

Texas positions are based at the Sugar Land headquarters; positions in other markets are based at the regional office for that market, with travel to Sugar Land for planning and to jobsites for content.

How hiring works, and our commitment

Apply with samples of your work — a proposal, a campaign, a website you ran — and the results they produced. Expect a direct conversation with the people you would work for, references that get called, and a written offer consistent with this posting. The role requires occasional travel to jobsites and events, with pre-employment screening consistent with client requirements.

We are an equal opportunity employer and consider every applicant without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
